External specification
External specifications influence the structural composition of the AGF Panel. They are relevant for the structure, control and weighting of data.
The external specifications for the Television Research Panel are taken from several sources. The specifications for the relevant structural information for TV reception and socio-demographic characteristics are taken from the Potential Study and the Platform Study. The structural information for children aged 3-13, who are not surveyed in the Potential Study and Platform Study, is taken from the latest Micro Census. In addition, the information on the proportion of households with platform access is taken from the Platform Study conducted exclusively for AGF. The specifications for the distribution of Sky subscriptions are taken from a Deloitte audit.”
The following characteristics are important for the management of panel structures:
- Territories: States of the Federal Republic of Germany
- Socio-demographic information: age and education of the MIE (Main Income Earner), household size, children in the household
- Reception levels: IPTV, satellite, cable, terrestrial
- Reception situation: platform access
